It’s been a while since I made a birthday cake with a girly theme. There was a time I was constantly making girly birthday cakes- and I loved it. From ladybugs and butterflies to Tinkerbell and the rest of the fairies- I truly enjoyed making each cake. Now, this might not seem like such a feminine cake, but for me, the bows, hearts, and all that pink was the perfect feminine touch.
Five Nights at Freddy’s…have you heard of it? If you have, then you’ll get the theme of this cake. If not, you’re probably thinking that this is one ugly cake, lol. The next couple of posts are going to feature some cakes I’ve been working on and showcase a little bit of the process that goes into making one. It’s about time…this site is called Down Cakery Lane after all.
I love stuffed grape leaves! They’re a family favorite. Most of the people I know love them as well. What we don’t love is all of the work that goes into rolling them, just to make one pot. One pot- that get’s devoured before you know it.
My mother came up with this recipe years ago. She took her traditional recipe for stuffed grape leaves and, well…unstuffed them, lol. She wanted a quick way to enjoy the taste of stuffed grape leaves without all of the work.
